Letter Regarding Benefits for Organization or Employees

  • 18

Greetings everyone, I am curious to know whether an Appointment Letter/Offer Letter is more beneficial to the organization or the employees. I have noticed that some companies do not issue joining letters to their employees, believing that it could be risky for the company. In my opinion, Appointment Letters are advantageous to the organization as it encourages discipline and vigilance. I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

  1. In my opinion, this would be advantageous for both parties, but particularly advantageous for the organization. Thank you.

  2. Appointment letters are a way to express the terms and conditions of employment and provide legitimacy to the job. Working without an appointment letter means that the organization has malicious intentions and does not recognize the services and legal rights of the employee. This can lead to a loss of pay due to the lack of benefits such as PF contribution, ESIC, gratuity, compensation for retrenchment, lay-off, and termination notice. For example, a worker who was employed as a casual laborer to feed scrap metal into a furnace accidentally fell inside and melted along with the scrap. Subsequently, the personnel officer removed the worker’s name from the attendance records and claimed that the employee was not working on that day. The worker’s wife searched for months before one of the co-workers who was working with her husband on the same day revealed that he was on the job on the day of the accident. The case went on for years before justice was served. We should advise people not to take risks. An employee may be asked to travel for official work and if they are involved in an accident, their family may be deprived of their legal rights.

  3. Dear one, Having a positive relationship between an employee and employer is highly advantageous. Best regards
